Have you noticed how day after day you hear of people starting their own business?

This week I want to share some information about the real meaning and implications of starting your own business from home in the profession of Network Marketing.

What is Network Marketing?

The simplest explanation of network marketing is that it is a method of marketing that utilizes independent representatives to reach potential customers that a company otherwise would not reach with traditional online or offline marketing methods.

Traditional marketing methods have companies spending millions of dollars each year to market their products and services.

They know that word-of-mouth marketing is a far more powerful and effective method of marketing, especially, when that message comes from those whom we know and trust!

And these companies are more than willing to pay you, to communicate this message to your network of friends and family.

It is extremely important to understand that this method of marketing is not about bugging your friends and family members, as many would love for you to believe.

It is about your ability and skill to determine from those individuals within your circle of influence who would be interested in the products or services that your company has to offer…

… That information alone is one of the critical elements that separate those who fail, from those who go on to become very successful!

And occasionally you might uncover a few individuals, who also want to start a business!

I truly believe Robert Kiyosaki summed it up nicely: “it really is the business school for people who like helping people!”

With the economy the way it is today, working from home makes more sense than acquiring a second job in order to make ends meet. And that’s if you can find one!

Another definition of Network Marketing or Direct selling is this:

Direct selling is a method in which independent-agents serve as distributors of goods and services, and are encouraged to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting and training other independent agents. In this method, commission is earned on the agent’s own sales revenue, as well as on the sales revenue of the sales-force recruited by the agent and his or her recruits (called downline).
Many people judge this business model as illegal. But does this sound illegal? It can become illegal when funny monetary claims are made.

But the reality of Network Marketing is that it’s a “money making possibility” and not a “money making guarantee”, that’s probably where the misunderstanding comes in.

So, as explained above, once you have your individual business set up, you’re not asked to go and shuffle your products down the throats of other people. Your goal is to educate people sharing the benefits of your products and showing them how these products can help them improve their lives.

If you’ve been using your products (and you should), you automatically become product of the product and you become a “walking” advert. Maybe you’ve lost lots of weight, or you shaped your body, or you feel healthier or you look younger….

But what makes Network Marketing so attractive lately, compared to a “normal” business investment or a normal job?

Tired of the corporate rat race, many people are starting home businesses in record numbers. CNN reported that a new home-based business is started in the United States every 11 seconds. The home-business boom is the next big trend, and network marketing is one of the hottest home businesses available. It offers low start-up investment and monthly overhead, and entrepreneurs can start part-time, while still employed, and build the business to replace their current job income. Age, gender and race aren’t barriers in network marketing.

So, if you find these positive attributes attractive, I suggest you look at a way to start your own business from home. Where do you start?

Let me help you choose the company that best suits your needs:

  • Young GLOBAL company (5-7 yrs)
  • Unique products
  • New in your area
  • Good compensation plan
  • Excellent training and support

Why do I love Network Marketing so much?

It gives you freedom to work around your schedule. If you have a doctor appointment you don’t need to ask for permission to leave your work place. If your kids have a competition or match you can go and watch them. If you are sick, you don’t need to call your boss or justify your absence.

These days technology makes it even easier as you can work from your phone wherever you are. There are no boundaries.

The only con: you can become addicted to working for yourself and help others. So you must set a plan that includes: work, family & play.

You’re probably wondering: but is Network marketing for me?

You know what: it could be for you, but you are the only one who can decide if a fit for you.

So, yes, NM can be for anyone, as becoming a surgeon could. That means it’s a personal choice for you to evaluate. There are no perfect type of people for network marketing.

There’s a common myth that network marketing is all about selling, so many people who don’t see themselves as “salespeople” shy away from it. The truth is, most of the people who are a huge success in network marketing aren’t sales types, and tend to be more introverted.

People aren’t looking for products, services–or even business opportunities; they’re looking for solutions to life’s problems. Now, you can’t solve them all with network marketing, but for many you can. So you are in a problem-solving and dream-building business.

I’m not an expert, but I’ve been in this industry for 5 years and I learnt a lot about working in this profession. So if you want hints and tips on what and how to join, feel free to contact me. I look forward to guiding you through your best choice.
